It is who you are when all is quiet and nobody is around that matters to God. What you share with him in those moments, how you feel, what you thank him for, what you ask him for.

He longs for intimacy with us aside from our relationships with others, our duties and responsibilities. Sometimes we enjoy being alone with no noise or interruptions, other times we might feel lonely but it is what we present to him while noone is looking that matters.

I’m reminded of the widow who put all she owned into the offering and Jesus was watching.  Her reward was great and it is not what we show in the public eye, in front of friends or family but who we are when we are when noone can see us or hear what we say. Jesus knew it was all the woman had. He knows everything about us before we even speak.
